The Siena women's tennis team dropped three straight matches to end the regular-season, including a 6-1 setback at Fairfield Sunday, but the Saints still enter this coming week's MAAC Championships brimming with confidence.

"This match reminded me of the Marist match," head coach Andy Christodoulou said. "We were still in deep in the singles with the scores really close. I feel very privilaged to be the coach of this team. They play hard and they are great individuals who take pride in there work ethic."

For the second straight match, Carly Holloway recorded Siena's only point with a victory at No. 3 singles. But the Saints hung in every match.

The Saints will get a chance to avenge the loss when it matters most, as they face the regular-season champion Stags on Wednesday at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
