Watch the Luncheon Here!
Siena Basketball Coaches Mitch Buonaguro and Gina Castelli fielded questions from members of the Capital Region media in the weekly Media Luncheon Tuesday. Fans can watch the free archive of the luncheon at SienaAllAccess.com by clicking the above link.
The Siena men (8-9, 3-4) are looking to bounce back following a 72-53 defeat at Manhattan Saturday that halted a three-game winning streak. But the Saints have arguably their most difficult back-to-back conference games of the year coming up over the next six days.
The Saints travel to Baltimore Thursday for a 7:30 tip against a Loyola team that currently stands in second place in the MAAC at 5-2. Things get even more challenging from there as Siena returns home Monday night for a showdown against mid-major power and MAAC leader Iona at Times Union Center.
Meanwhile the Siena women (4-11, 2-4) are also looking to respond following a 55-45 loss at Loyola Sunday. The Saints are currently in a six-way tie for fifth in the jumbled conference standings heading into weekend games Friday night at the ARC vs. Fairfield and Sunday at Rider.
Friday night's game is the most anticipated game of the year for the women as they host their 12th Annual "Pink Zone" Game raising money and awareness for breast cancer research at 7 p.m. Tickets are just $6 for adults and $3 for children age 13 and under and fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game in an attempt to "Pink Out" the ARC.
