LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Flyers scored 56 second half points shooting 58.1% from the field as No. 16/15 Dayton remained undefeated with a 91-53 victory over the Saints at the ARC. Clara Sole Anglada came off the bench to tie a career-high with 17 points for Siena.
Dayton (12-0) shot 51.5% overall for the game and dominated the glass (50-31) en route to matching its best overall start in program history. Siena (3-6) meanwhile was limited to just 28.6% shooting as they could not keep pace with the red-hot Flyers.
The Saints kept things competitive in the first half, forcing the Flyers into 15 turnovers and were within shouting distance trailing 35-21 at the break. But the Flyers opened the second half on a 12-2 run and made 18-31 shots in the stanza to pull away.
Dayton placed six players in double figures as head coach Jim Jabir improved to 3-0 against his former team. Jabir was the Saints' head coach from 1987-90.
Ally Malott led the Flyers with a game-high 19 points to go along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Kelley Austria and Jodie Cornelie each added 11 of Dayton's 37 bench points.
Sole anchored Siena's three-point attack making 3-6 from deep as the Saints shot 7-15 overall from distance. Lily Grenci added 10 points, six rebounds and three steals for Siena which fell to 0-13 all-time vs. AP Top-25 teams and 0-14 vs. ESPN/USA Today Top-25 squads.
The Saints return to action Friday when the open a season long four-game road trip at UMass. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
