Siena basketball coaches Gina Castelli and Mitch Buonaguro fielded questions from the local media at Tuesday's weekly media luncheon, the final one of the 2011-12 season. The Siena women are riding high following a sweep of last weekend's homestand. The Saints are now 8-8, and with a sweep of this weekend's Buffalo trip and some luck, they could finish as high as third place in the MAAC despite getting off to a 2-5 start in conference play.
Meanwhile, the Siena men got a big conference win of their own last Tuesday over Manhattan. They'll finish the season with two conference games this week. The Saints will travel to Marist on Thursday night at 9 p.m. for a game that will be televised on ESPN3 before hosting Canisius in the program's annual Senior Day on Sunday afternoon.
