It was a rough day for Siena water polo Saturday at the CWPA/MAAC Crossover at Princeton. The Saints went 0-3 in the Garden State, falling 13-5 to Bucknell, 13-10 to George Washington, and 11-4 to the 19th-ranked hosts.
The day began with Siena's second loss to Bucknell in two weekends. Senior Traci Robertson led Siena with three goals, an assist, and three ejections drawn, while sophomores Lea Allen and Melanie Boehrig also scored in the losing effort.
Siena then dropped their third game against a ranked opponent this season against #19 Princeton. Junior Rebecca Robinson found the back of the net twice, while senior Katie Ness and freshman Jacquelyn Verdon also scored.
The day's finale against George Washington was a tight one, with Allen posting three goals and an assist. Boehrig and Robinson had two goals apiece, and freshman Stephanie Bundas scored her first collegiate goal.
Siena will next be in action in their home opener, which is scheduled for Saturday against Utica at 12 p.m. at the Siena Swim Center.
