Final Stats

The Siena women's tennis team lost a 6-1 decision to visiting St. Bonaventure Saturday in Loudonville. Elora Benfer's three-set win at No. 6 singles accounted for the Saints only point of the match.

"I was very proud of the ladies today," head coach Andy Christodoulou said."They played hard, and they did not let bad emotions deteriorate their level of play. We will take this loss in stride andmove on because this week we have three matches, and we must refocus our attention to Tuesday's contest at Manhattan."

Siena's top doubles team of Jasleen Sandhu and Carly Holloway started the match strong with an impressive 8-4 win at top doubles. The Bonnies rallied to win teh doubles point with an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles, and am 8-4 win at No. 3.

"I felt the attitude, application and commitment of our players was fantastic," Christodoulou said."Our number one doubles team can be devastating."

Benfer battled back to win her singles match against Andrea Pavlovic after losing the first set 6-1. She won the second set 6-4, and took the third set 10-4 in a super tie-breaker.
