One of Cortney Tilley's first acts as junior captain on the Siena College golf team was to call the team together for a preseason round-table discussion.
"There are a lot of freshmen on this team. I'd like to believe I'm like a big sister to them," said Plaistow's Tilley, a former Eagle-Tribune All-Star golfer at Timberlane Regional. "They had all kinds of questions, not just about golf or the team, but about college and life. I think that really helped bring this group together."
That group is currently in the midst of a history-making run at Siena. Anchored by Tilley, the No. 1 player in the lineup, Siena will tee it up for the first-time in school history this weekend at the NCAA Division 1 Golf Regional in Columbus, Ohio.
