Women’s Golf Heads to South Carolina to Begin Spring 2026

Saints Make First Trip to The Palmetto State Since 2017

LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Women's Golf makes its earliest spring start since the 2015–16 season when the team opens its Spring 2026 season at the Pawleys Island Battle at the Beach from Feb. 21–22 in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.

Along with Siena making its earliest spring start in 10 seasons, the event also represents the Saints' first trip to South Carolina since competing in the Oyster Shuck Match Play during the spring of 2017.

Tabbed seventh in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Coaches' Poll, the Saints look to build momentum from the fall season under second-year head coach Noel Gebauer, in which the team concluded with a second-place showing at the Le Moyne Invitational on Oct. 21. Siena shot a tournament-low round of +29, 313 in the final round of the Le Moyne Invitational to exit the fall on a high note.

Siena notably won their spring opener last season at the Sacred Heart Spring Break Invitational in Orange Park, FL, six strokes ahead of the five-team field, finishing the 36-hole tournament at +60.

Julia Kret enjoyed a fall season in which she averaged an adjusted score of 79.6 per round, while Mackenzie Whitney (80.1) and Emely Kintzel (80.6) averaged below an 81 per round. Kintzel also earned the team's lone top-three finish of the fall, placing third at the Le Moyne Invitational with her best 36-hole score of the season (+17).

The postseason concludes at the MAAC Championships, which return to Disney's Magnolia Course in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. For the first time in conference history, the men's and women's championships will be held separately, with the women's three-day, 54-hole championship scheduled for Apr. 21–23.
