Results 
With two nights in the books in the MAAC Championships, the Siena swimming and diving team currently sits in ninth place.
"I think we improved," coach Paul Kueterman said. "We had swimmers post season best and career bests."
The best finisher of the night for Siena was Lauren Daly in the 100 breast. The freshman stopped with a time of 1:07.60, to finish in seventh. Kaela Bjornberg would also gain points in the B finals, to notch a season-high 1:06.93, for ninth. Kelsey Helin rounded out the scoring in the event finishing with a career-best time of 1:08.67.
Amanda York was the other Siena swimmer to qualify for the finals, which she did in the 100 fly. York finished eighth with 59.14.
The Saints did have numerous close calls to make up ground. Jacque Medina finished ninth in the 200 free prelims, failing to qualify for the A finals by a mere .03 seconds. She would take tenth in the event with a time of 1:56.05.
Siena almost broke one record of the evening but the result was voided in the 400 IM. Emily Carideo was disqualified after breaking the record time that was set in 2011.
Other results for Siena include: Megan Grace finishing 15th in the 1000 free (10:47.27), Katherine Canavan also notching a 15th place showing in the 100 back with a career-best 1:00.59. On the three-meter board Hailey Beers tallied a score of 167.20 to check in 15th.
Both relay teams finished in seventh. The 800 free relay of Medina, Carideo, Bjornberg, and York clocked in 7:54.53, while the 200 medley team featuring Canavan, Daly, York, and Shannon Love stopped at 1:49.97.
After 29 events, Marist College leads the pack with 551 followed by Rider (372), Loyola (272), Canisius (266), Saint Peter's (231), Iona (214), Fairfield (185), Niagara (176), Siena (171), and Manhattan (48).
The three-day event concludes tomorrow at 10 a.m.
