Freshman Ali Garrity advanced to the semifinals in the B-Flight and classmate Mitsuki Fukamachi teamed with Jessica Macaluso to reach the B-Flight doubles semifinals, highlighting Siena's top performances in their annual Fall Invitational this weekend at Schenectady's Central Park.

The Saints welcomed Queens College, RPI and Marist to compete in this year's two-day event. Queens enjoyed the strongest performance of the weekend, claiming the top two finishers in the A and B Flight singles and winning the A and B Flight doubles.

Sophomore Maria Varano advanced to the semifinals in the Flight C, and Macaluso won her first singles match in the B Flight to post Siena's other victory in the main draw.

Fukamachi finished off a solid start to her career by defeating teammate Erika Reagan in the finals of the C Flight back draw.

Carly Holloway suffered a hard fought 8-6 loss in the semifinals of the A Flight back draw.

The Saints begin dual match play Friday at Holy Cross at 4 p.m.
