The Siena Water Polo team dropped two games during the first day of the MAAC/CWPA Crossover in Cambridge, Mass. on Saturday afternoon to Princeton (15-7) and Harvard (19-8). Senior Lea Allen scored seven total goals on the day.

Lea Allen and Jacquelyn Verdon led the turnover plagued Saints against the Princeton Tigers in the first game of the day. The Tigers forced 19 Saints turnovers. Allen and Verdon scored two goals each. Allen scored her two goals of the first half and trailed 7-3. Stephanie Bundas, Kori Swieter and Melanie Boehrig rounds out the rest of the Saints scorers. Bundas and Brianna Ritota recorded two assists apiece.

Bundas, Allen and Swieter were today's defensive leaders as the trio recorded all six steals for Siena, each earning two.

Senior Lea Allen led the Saints in their 19-8 loss to Harvard. Allen scored five goals on nine shots with two goals coming with the Saints on the defensive end of a 6-5 advantage.

Melanie Boehrig added to her season goal total with two more goals against Harvard. Stephanie Bunda and Brianna Ritota also scored a goal for the Saints.

Goalie Madeline Hurley started both games for the Saints, recording 13 saves, seven against Princeton and six against Harvard.

Water polo is back in action tomorrow for the final day of the MAAC/CWPA Crossover. They play George Washington at 9:15 a.m. followed by Bucknell at 2:15 p.m.
