Men's Golf Ends Whiting-Turner Towson in 19th

The men's golf team completed the final round of the Whiting-Turner Towson Invitational Tuesday afternoon, scoring a 647 for a 19th place finish. Spencer Sautin was the team's top finisher shooting a 158 in the two rounds of play.

The MAAC Golfer of the Month for March, Michael Shine improved his score in the second round (78) to finish tied in the 77th position with a 162. Shine finished four strokes behind teammate Sautin. Brendan Quintana shot a 77 in the second round, the best score for the Saints over the two days. Quintana tied with Shine (T77), shooting a 162.

Lou Walsh and Riley McGraw rounds out the Saints scoring. Walsh took a few steps back after shooting an 81 in the first round, Walsh finished the second round with an 86.

VCU won the team medal, shooting a 598 and Fairleigh Dickinson's U Minn Woon won the individual medalist, shooting a 74, 72 for a total score of 146.

The men travel to Bethlehem, Pa. for the Lafayette Invitational this Sunday and Monday.
