The Siena Water Polo team lost it's two contests Sunday to George Washington and No. 10 Hartwick. Both teams were able to score 18 goals as GW defeated the Saints, 18-13 and Hartwick defeated the Saints 18-4.

In the closer of the two games the Saints couldn't keep pace with the Colonials. Siena would tie the game at 4-4 on a Stephanie Bundas goal one minute into the second period, but George Washington would score the next five goals and take a 9-5 lead into halftime.

The Colonials would score the first three goals coming out of the half before Taylor Young and Bundas would score back-to-back goals to cut the lead to 12-7. The teams would exchange nine goals in the fourth quarter, leading to George Washington's eventual 18-13 victory.

Bundas scored five goals for the second straight game, while fellow senior Jacquelyn Verdon contributed four goals to the cause. Taylor Young led all Saints with four assists, while the goalie combination of Sarah Abbot and Madeline Hurley recorded 16 saves in net.

In the second game Hartwick jumped out to an early 8-0 lead before Jasmine Carrillo scored her first goal of the season with 3:33 remaining in the second quarter. Bundas would score the remaining three goals for the Saints, one each in the second, third and fourth quarters.

Young, Madison Obata, Clare Bryar and Kori Swieter each recorded one assist in the second game. Abbott and Hurley made 17 combined saves in net for the Saints.

Siena is back in action next Saturday against George Washington at 10:15 a.m. and Mercyhurst at 2 p.m. in the MAAC/CWPA Crossover.
