For the second weekend in a row the Siena Water Polo team dropped a MAAC contest by one goal, this time to VMI, 12-11. The Saints lost to Iona 12-8 in their second game of the day.

The Saints outscored the Keydets 4-1 in the fourth quarter, including the last three goals of the game and two goals by Jacquelyn Verdon in the final minute. But Verdon's last goal with 20 seconds left would prove to be the last one of the game for Siena leaving them one goal short.

Verdon led the Saints with four goals, while Taylor Young and Clare Bryar both contributed three assists in the loss.

In their second game Siena was as close as two in the fourth quarter, but two goals by Iona with under four mintues remaining in the quarter would push the game to its final margin. Stephanie Bundas led the Saints with four goals and two assists, while Young contributed three more assists.

Siena is at Villanova next Saturday for contests against Iona at 12 p.m. and Wagner at 4 p.m.
