| St. Francis Box Score
Saturday was a big day for the Siena Women's Water Polo team. Not only did they win their first MAAC game of the season in a 12-10 win over St. Francis (N.Y.), but also senior Stephanie Bundas scored five goals on the day setting a new program record with 86 goals on the season. In their first game the Saints lost to Marist 10-4.
The Saints first MAAC victory of the season came in their 10th conference game, a back and forth affair with the Terriers. Senior Jacquelyn Verdon did much of the heavy lifting for Siena early scoring four goals in the first half allowing the Saints to take a 9-6 lead into halftime.
St Francis would pull within one two times at 9-8 and 10-9, but two timely goals by Bundas and a goal with 7:31 remaining by Taylor Young would keep the Terriers at arms length, allowing the Saints to hold on for the victory. Madeline Hurley played all 32 minutes in goal saving 11 shots in the win.
Bundas' 85th goal broke the single season program record of 84 goals set by Camille Norman in the 2010 campaign. She now has 193 career goals, which places her third on Siena's all time goals list, behind Norman with 215 and Lauren Garrigan with 248.
In their first game of the day the Saints lost to Marist 10-4. Young, Bundas, Clare Bryar and Kori Swieter scored in the loss for Siena.
The Saints close out the season tomorrow at Wagner with games against Villanova and VMI at 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
