Siena Water Polo lost their final two games of the season, losing to Villanova 11-8 and VMI 11-9. Stephanie Bundas led the team with seven goals on the day, pushing her program single season record to 93 goals.
Clare Bryar fueled the Siena offense early against Villanova, scoring two early goals for the Saints, which allowed them to take a 6-4 lead with 2:44 remaining in the third. Villanova would score the next five goals and never relinquish the lead, as Siena would get as close as 9-7 before eventually falling. Madeline Hurley saved 11 shots in the loss.
In game two the Saints used a four goal second quarter to take a 5-4 lead into halftime, on goals by Bundas, Bryar, Jacquelyn Verdon and Samantha Voelker. The Keydets would score six goals coming out of the half and take a four-goal lead into the final frame. Siena scored the first three goals of the fourth, and cut the lead to 10-9 on Jasmine Carillo's goal with 4:44 remaining. But a goal by VMI's Bailey Huddleston with 1:46 remaining would put the game out of reach for good.
With the losses, Siena finishes the season 8-20 with a 1-11 conference record. Bundas finishes the season with 93 goals, a new single season program record, and 200 career goals, which places her third on the Saints' all-time goals list.
