Kristen Bromley shot an opening round score of 79 as the Siena women's golf team placed eighth after the first round at the inaugural Bulldog Invitational hosted by the Citadel in Mount Pleasant, S.C.

Lamar leads the field after round one with a team score of seven-over par. Wofford and Appalachian State are tied for second while Western Illinois and Drake close out the top five.

Divya Manthena was the second Siena player on the leaderboard after the freshman carded an 81.

Stephanie Sullivan, Sara Riso, and Ashley Nguyen were separated by two strokes on the first round leaderboard to close out the scoring for the Saints.

The Saints return to the course Tuesday to play the final round of the Bulldog Invitational.
