LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – Rebecca Golderman scored four goals to lead Binghamton past Siena Women's Lacrosse 9-6 at Siena Turf Field. Sophomore attack Lauren Anglim paced Siena offensively with a pair of goals.
Binghamton (3-3) went on a four-goal run midway through the first half to claim a 6-2 lead and held a 6-3 advantage at the break. The Bearcats ultimately went on a 7-1 run to take a 9-3 lead with 11:51 remaining. Siena (3-2) answered with three scores in four minutes late, but it wasn't enough.
Senior captain Lauren Smith and junior attack Michelle Schwartz each contributed a free-position goal and an assist apiece for the Saints. Siena scored four of its six goals on eight-meter attempts.
Junior midfielder Briana Sirianni scored and won four draw controls for the Saints which held an 11-6 edge in draws. Sirianni also registered three caused turnovers for a Siena defense which turned Binghamton over 18 times on the strength of a season-high 14 caused turnovers.
Emma Jehle (three saves) and Erin McNulty (four saves) each played a half in goal for Binghamton, combining for seven saves.
Siena continues its season long four-game homestand Saturday when the Saints host sister school St. Bonaventure for a noon draw.
