Davidson scored eight goals in the first half to push the Wildcats to a 14-7 win over Siena Women's Lacrosse in Davidson, North Carolina. The Saints had six different goal scorers in the contest.
Annie Brockett recorded six goals and dished out one assist for seven points for Davidson (1-1). Kendall Thielemann dished out four assists while tallying one goal for the Wildcats.
Briana Sirianni scored a team-high two goals and dished out the only assist for Siena (0-2). Sammy Horton picked up a team-high five ground balls while recording six saves.
After a quick 1-1 tie game, Davidson was able to take a slight advantage 12-10 in shots. The Bobcats used those 12 shots for a first half surge which put them ahead of the Saints 8-1 at the half. Davidson scored two goals off of free position shots to take the lead early.
Siena turned right around and outshot Davidson 14-9 in the second half. Both teams were able to score six goals each, which helped give Davidson the 14-7 win.
The Saints had 13 draw controls as compared to Davidson's 10 in the contest.
Siena remains on the road as they head to Hamilton, New York to face Colgate on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 1 p.m.
