Siena Women's Lacrosse was bested by Bryant 17-5 in a mid-week contest. The Saints have fallen the last two seasons against the Bulldogs by one goal each year.
Ali Cardinal led the Bulldogs (4-3) with six goals. Caitlin Breglia added four goals and one assist for Bryant.
Both freshman Alexis Deaken and senior Michelle Schwartz recorded two goals a piece. Sammy Horton recorded 10 saves for the Saints (1-6).
The Bulldogs were off to a fast start as Bryant took a 7-0 lead with 12:35 left in the first half. Freshman Deaken then scored the next two goals to put the Saints down 7-2. Schwartz added a free position goal as the first half wound down and the Saints headed to the locker room trailing Bryant 8-3.
Sardella and Schwartz added another goal each in the second half, but Bryant recorded nine goals and took the contest 17-5.
The Saints host Fairfield in their MAAC opener on Saturday, Mar. 25 at 1 p.m.
