March 4, 2017 Siena Water Polo opened the Harvard Invite on Saturday in Cambridge, MA. #14 Indiana bested the Saints 12-1 in the first game before Brown defeated Siena 12-5 in the second matchup. Clare Bryar and Diana Fernandez scored three goals each for the Saints on Saturday.
Game One: #14 Indiana 12, Siena 1
In the Saints' first game of the day, #14 Indiana dominated with 12 goals, limiting Siena to a lone goal, coming from Bryar. Fernandez assisted on the goal and drew five ejections in the game for the Saints.
Carly Jackson-Clark totaled nine saves in the contest, while Kennedy Joseph added five for the defense. Sarah Abbott added two steals for Siena.
Game Two: Brown 12, Siena 5
In Siena's second game of the day, the Brown Bears bested the Saints 12-5. Fernandez scored three goals, drew three ejections, and had one assist for Siena. Bryar drew a team-high six ejections, scored two goals, recorded two assists, and had five steals in the game.
Jackson-Clark saved seven shots in goal and had two steals. Joseph contributed six saves for the Saints. Daniella Fuertes chipped in two assists in the last contest of day one.
The Saints will wrap up the Harvard Invite on Sunday, March 5 in Cambridge, MA. Siena will take on UC San Diego at 1 p.m.
