LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Men's Lacrosse closes out their 2018 homestand with a 17-11 loss to Princeton. Mike Reilly tied his career-high four goals, which he last set against St. John's on March 5, 2017.

Michael Sowers, who leads the nation in assists per game, led all scorers with eight points for Princeton (5-5). He dished out five assists while scoring three goals. Phillip Robertson had a career-high seven goals for the Tigers. Sam Bonafede went 13-16 at the faceoff X while starting goalie Tyler Blaisdell stopped 16 shots.

Reilly led the Saints (2-8) with a career-tying four goals. Chris Robertson added two and extended his points-scoring streak to 23 games. Both Anthony Tebbano and Eric Cecere both made five stops in goal for the Saints.

Reilly opened up the scoring for the game but then Princeton responded with two straight goals to lead it, including one man-up goal. Siena then got their turn man-up and capitalized with Keenan Cook assisting on both goals as Siena took a 3-2 lead with 4:51 left in the first quarter. The Tigers would begin their run and end the frame with three goals. Two of the three goals came at the sticks of Sowers and Phillip Robertson, a combination that would score four of Princeton's goals. Princeton led 6-3 after the first quarter.

The Tigers continued their run and tallied seven goals in the second frame. Princeton was able to hold off the Saints and use the momentum to take a 12-3 lead at halftime.

Following two Princeton goals, Reilly would put the Saints back on the board with a dish from Brendan Lantieri. The Tigers responded, but Robertson scored his 98th career goal, which is good for 10th most all-time in Siena history with a dish from Dylan Pantalone to close out the third quarter trailing 15-5.

Siena took control in the final frame outscoring the Tigers 7-2. Brett Habich dished out his first career assist and followed that up with his first career goal into the final frame as the Saints trailed Princeton 17-9. Colin McLaughlin registered his second and third goal of the season in the final 78 seconds of play. Princeton was able to hold on to take the win 17-11.

The Saints will head to Detroit, Michigan to take on MAAC foe Detroit Mercy on Friday, April 20. Faceoff is set for 4 p.m.
