Jack Bellardini carded a pair of birdies to finish first among five Siena Men's Golf competitors in the opening round of the 2018 Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational Sunday afternoon. The senior concluded the day with a 4, 76 on the Par-72, 7,159-yard course at The Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, New York, landing in a tie for 38th place individually.
Competing in their third consecutive week of tournament play, the Saints wrapped day one of the 36-hole affair with a 30, 318, and sit in 16th place heading into the final round of action.
Four members of the team's five-man squad registered birdies in Sunday's action, including senior
James Pelcher, who went one-under on the 510-yard par-5 ninth hole. The Baldwinsville, New York native finished the day with 6, 78 to tie for 54
th place.

Jake Holt each tied for 79th in the outing, shooting 10, 82, while Loudonville, New York product
Tanner Donovan carded 22, 94 to conclude play 89th.
The team will be back in action on Monday, Oct. 1, with play commencing in a double-tee start beginning at 8:30 a.m. Siena golfers will tee off from hole 10 beginning with Donovan at 9:15 a.m.
