HAMPDEN, MA – Siena Men's Golf concluded its second 54-hole event of the Fall 2019 season Tuesday afternoon, concluding play at the UConn Invitational at GREATHORSE in Hampden, Massachusetts. The Saints shot 303 in a rain-soaked round three to finish at +46, 910 in a tie for seventh with Bryant.
Columbia shot +7, 871 to take home the top spot at the annual event, while MAAC participants Rider (Fourth 897), Saint Peter's (12th, 922) and Canisius (13th, 924) also joined in.
Rounding out a solid showing on the par-72, 7,093-yard course, junior Jack Brown shot +2, 74 with a pair of birdies to conclude play in a four-way tie for 10th place individually, his second top-10 finish of the fall season.
Freshman Nolan Crowley followed, also notching a pair of birdies en-route to shooting +3, 75 on the day and finishing in a four-way split for 19th. Classmate Moritz Weigold recorded three birdies and carded +7, 79, good for a four-way split for 44th.
Rounding out the Saints' competition team at the event were freshman Jack Tobin and junior Pudge Williams, who each displayed their best rounds for the tournament on the day. Tobin finished in a tie for 50th after shooting +5, 77, while Williams also shot 77 to finish play in a split for 72nd.
Siena will enter its fourth consecutive weekend of competition Oct. 6-7, when it travels to Apalachin, NY to compete at the Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational hosted by Binghamton University.
