LOUDONVILLE, NY— Siena Men's Golf Head Coach
Steven Jensen has announced the signing of two accomplished student-athletes, as international standout Evan Hogg (Belfast, Northern Ireland/The Royal Belfast Academical Institution) and reigning Maine state champion Michael Madden (Portland, Maine/Cheverus High School) are set to join the Saints for the 2026-27 academic year.
Evan Hogg | Belfast, Northern Ireland | The Royal Belfast Academical Institution
Hogg arrives at Siena after establishing himself as one of the top young golfers in Northern Ireland. A member of the Irish team, he earned five caps representing his country in international competition. He also enjoyed sustained success at the scholastic level, recording top-five finishes in the Ulster Schools' Stroke Play Championship in each of the last four years.
In team competition, Hogg was a member of the Ulster Interprovincial Team, helping the squad capture one championship while also finishing runner-up on four occasions. He enters his collegiate career carrying a +3.1 handicap and brings significant experience competing against elite amateur fields.
Jensen on Hogg: "We look forward to welcoming Evan to our team this fall. He possesses a great deal of raw talent, and we're excited to see his growth as he helps make our program even better."
Michael Madden | Portland, ME | Cheverus High School
Madden joins the Saints following a decorated high school and junior golf career in Maine and throughout New England. Madden captured both the 2025 Maine State Junior Championship and the 2025 Maine State High School Championship. Following his standout senior campaign, he was named the 2025 Maine High School Golfer of the Year and earned the 2025 Maine State High School Coaches' Award.
On the junior circuit, Madden placed fifth at the 2025 New England Junior Championship and was selected to the 2025 Publinx Junior New England Team. A consistent force throughout his prep career, he earned Maine First Team All-State honors from 2022-25.
Jensen on Madden: "We are thrilled to welcome Michael Madden to Siena Golf. Michael is recognized as one of the top young players in the Northeast and has already established himself as a proven winner. We look forward to watching him continue to develop and make an immediate impact on our team."
