LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Men's Golf Head Coach
Steven Jensen has announced the hiring of Siena alumnus Nolan Crowley as assistant coach for the Saints program ahead of the 2026-27 season.
A native of Saratoga Springs, NY, Crowley returns to Loudonville after one of the most accomplished careers in program history. A member of the Saints from 2019-24, he helped lead Siena to back-to-back Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships in 2023 and 2024 while earning All-MAAC honors in each of those championship seasons.
"I'm excited to welcome Nolan Crowley to our Siena coaching staff," said Jensen. "As one of the top players in Upstate New York, he brings a wealth of playing experience and a deep understanding of the game. We're thrilled to have him on board!"
Crowley capped his collegiate career by tying for second at the 2024 MAAC Championships after firing rounds of 69-71-73 to finish at three-under-par 213. He also earned All-MAAC honors at the 2023 conference championship, tying for fifth after posting an even-par 216 (71-74-71).
As a fifth-year senior during the 2023-24 season, Crowley was named MAAC Men's Golfer of the Week on March 13 and continued to serve as one of the conference's top performers.
During Siena's 2022-23 MAAC Championship campaign, Crowley posted a 74.57 scoring average across a program-record-tying 30 rounds. He recorded three top-10 finishes, shot three rounds in the 60s, and tied for the third-most rounds of par or better in a single season (nine). His 73 birdies ranked fifth in program history, while his season-opening 68 at the Cornell/Temple Fall Invite stood as his low round of the year. He went on to represent Siena at the NCAA Auburn Regional following the conference title.
"I'm excited to once again be part of the Siena Men's Golf program and help improve the team," said Crowley.
Crowley enjoyed a breakout junior campaign in 2021-22, earning MAAC Men's Golfer of the Month honors in October and MAAC Men's Golfer of the Week recognition in February. He compiled a 74.12 scoring average, the fifth-best single-season mark in program history at the time, and captured individual medalist honors at the Lehigh Invitational with a two-under-par 142. He also tied the fourth-lowest round (67) and fourth-lowest 54-hole score (212) in program history while adding three more top-five finishes.
As a sophomore during the shortened 2020-21 season, Crowley led the Saints with a 74.67 scoring average and earned MAAC Men's Golfer of the Week honors after finishing runner-up at the SHU Spring Invite.
Crowley made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2019-20, leading Siena at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate with a tie for 19th and helping the Saints establish multiple program team scoring records during the fall season.
Prior to Siena, Crowley starred at Saratoga Springs High School, where he was named the 2018 New York Section II Golfer of the Year. A two-time NYSPHSAA State Tournament qualifier, he was also a two-time Saratoga Golfer of the Year (2016 and 2017), won the Northeastern New York PGA Major, and received the prestigious Dottie Pepper Award. He additionally recorded top-20 finishes at both the 2019 Junior Honda Classic and the 2018 New York Boys Junior Amateur Championship.
