The Siena Saints women's track and field team took to the track on Friday in Boston for the second time this season. This time, the Saints would be competing in the David Hemry Valentine Invitational at Boston University.
Topping the day was senior
Sarah Forman, who had a 49
th overall finish in the women's 3000m with a time of 9:53.37.
Sydney Johnson would also finish top 100 in the event, getting on the leaderboard in 93
rd overall with a time of 10:06.00.
Carolyn Pellegrini finished just outside the top 100 in 108
th, putting up a time of 10:14.01.
Mary McNally and
Abbi Wright also competed in the event, putting up times of 11:09.69 and 11:19.31.
Allison Hill had the top time in the Women's 800m, as she put up a time of 2:24.10, finishing 123
rd overall in the event.
Julia Bryant and
Shannon Bergin also competed in the 800m, finishing 130
th and 168
th overall.
Monica Strain would lead the way in the mile run, putting up a time of 5:07.13 with a 79
th place finish.
Carissa Kahn and Meaghan McDonough also had solid finishes as well, with times of 5:14.00 and 5:33.24. Rounding out the action was the Saints 4x400m relay team of Hill, Bergin, Bryant, and Strain, who finished 51
st overall in the event with a time of 4:21.69.
The men's squad takes to the track tomorrow for Day Two of the event at Boston University. The women will return to the track next weekend as they will compete in the MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at the New Balance Armory Track & Field Center in New York City.
