LOUDONVILLE, NY – Consistency became the calling card for the recently graduated
Mattingly O'Rourke in the classroom, on a course or track and showing care within the community.
On Wednesday, O'Rourke received the honor of being named one of the 2026 Capital District Sports Women of the Year (CDSWOY) award recipients.
It marks the fourth consecutive year in which a student-athlete from Siena has been bestowed the honor of being recognized by the CDSWOY. In 2025, Siena was represented by women's lacrosse attack Grace Dobrzynski. In 2024, Siena's nominee was diver Talia Spenziero and in 2023, the Saints were represented by cross country runner Olivia Lomascolo.
An awards gala is scheduled for Monday, August 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the GE Theatre at Proctors in Schenectady. Tickets will be available online at Proctors.org soon. The Grand Collegiate Woman of the Year and the Grand Scholastic Woman of the Year are announced at the Awards Gala.

Created in 2019 and currently honoring its seventh class, the CDSWOY honors the best and brightest female student athletes from high schools and colleges in the Capital District of New York State. The student-athletes will be recognized for their achievements in academics, athletics, and community service. More information is provided at the website: cdswoy.com.
O'Rourke, a Glenville, NY native, was a member of the "4.0 GPA club" for the fall 2025 semester at Siena and held a 3.92 cumulative GPA, earning her degree in Business with a double concentration in Marketing and Human Resources.
The four-time MAAC All-Academic Team member won the Crowell Invitational with a personal record in the 3,000 meters in December (10:28.24). She finished fourth in the 800-meter with a personal best of 2:12.47 at the MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She won the 800-meter at the Red Fox River Rumble (2:14.50). Other highlights included a third-place finish in the 1,500 at RPI at 4:33.54 and a third-place finish in the Capital District Classic in the 400 (PR of 59.75). She was part of the 4x800 relay team that finished second in the Jaylin Rainford Invitational (9:55.65). Mattingly also ran a PR of 5:05.24 in the mile at the Fastrack National Invitational.
Mattingly's community service included working with the Campus Ministry, leading campus-wide rosary programming and faith-based engagement initiatives. She was a volunteer for the regional food bank, World Read Aloud Day and Girls on the Run. Mattingly also organized team efforts for the Letter for Troops Initiative.
Mattingly joins her sister, Allie O'Rourke, as the first sisters to receive CDSWOY honors. Allie was a scholastic selection for Burnt Hill-Ballston Lake High School in 2025.
A total of 10 high school and three college female student-athletes will be honored at the August 3 event. The final recipient will be announced on July 13.
