LOUDONVILLE, NY – The Siena Men's and Women's Cross Country teams unveiled their 2026 schedule with a few different venues for them to contend in for the upcoming season. 

The Siena Men's program will look to extend its rock-solid consistency as the program has finished either as runners up or in third place in eight of the past nine seasons while the Siena Women will look to build their experience and improve upon their standing from a year ago. 

"We are excited to have everyone back on campus to train in a few weeks," said Siena head coach Elizabeth DeBole, who will be entering her fourth season at the head of the Saints' running programs and her third year overseeing the cross-country season. 

"Our women's team is excited to welcome many new faces; combined with our current leadership, we are excited to put some new big goals out there to chase. The men's team looks to continue to build on the success of previous years and will see many returning faces. We are excited to get back to competing tough!"

The opener is slated for September 4 when the Saints head down I-87 to compete in the Marist Season Opener for a sixth consecutive season at Vassar Farm in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Siena will take part in the Jasper Invitational for a fourth consecutive season on Sept. 19 with a switch in venue from Twin Ponds on the Farm to the newly opened Blue Sky Sports Complex in Middletown, NY.

The brand-new destination is in the heart of Orange County, NY. The 249-acre property is centrally located in the Hudson Valley and also houses eight to 12 new, natural grass soccer and lacrosse fields. 

The Siena Men finished as runners up last season in this event and return several top performers including graduate students Jackson Cayward and Tyler Greene and senior Colin Brunelle.

On the women's side, rising senior Faith Skowvron returns to the fold and will be joined by 12 new runners on the team. 

The Green & Gold will venture out to Greenwich, NY to take part in the Fairgrounds Showdown at the Washington County Fairgrounds hosted by RPI on Sept. 26.

In October, Siena will make the trek to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, to test themselves in the 52^nd running of the Paul Short Invitational on Lehigh University's Goodman Campus Cross Country Course on Oct. 2.  Last year's Gold and Brown Races for NCAA Division I teams from across the country featured over 500 runners in the men's 8K and nearly 300 in the women's 6K. The event draws over 6,000 athletes form hundreds of high schools and colleges across multiple divisions. 

The ECAC / IC4A Cross Country Championships will take place on Oct. 17 at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, NY. The park stretches over 1,477 acres on the border of Nassau County and Suffolk County on Long Island. 

The Saints will race on Halloween this season in the Metro Cross Country Championships and return to the Blue Sky Sports Complex in Middletown.

Select team and individual qualifiers will advance to the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships in Farmingdale, NY at Bethpage State Park on Nov. 13.
