The Siena Saints men's track and field team took to the track on Saturday afternoon, as they looked to back up the women's strong showing at the David Hemry Valentine Invitational from Friday. The event was hosted at Boston University.
The top finish would come from
Evans Kibet in the 800m run, where he would take a 63
rd overall finish after finishing first in Section 19. He would put up a time of 1:54.58, while
Ryan Holland and
Chris Estremera also put up solid finishes in the event.
Matt Jacques would put up a 69
th overall finish in the men's 1000m run, putting up a time of 2:38.12.
Luciano Fiore was the men's top finisher with a time of 4:16.21 in the mile run. In the men's 4x400m relay, the Siena A team of Kibet, Fiore, Holland, and Jacques finished 38
th overall with a time of 3:25.98.
Stosh Davis and
Jack O'Hara would compete in the men's 3000m run, finishing 133 and 142 with times of 8:42.78 and 8:45.20. Lastly in the men's 5000m,
Michael Rautter and William Randell ended up back-to-back in the overall standings, coming in 44
th and 45
th with times of 14:55.45 and 14:56.33.
The men's squad will return to the track next weekend as they will compete in the MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at the New Balance Armory Track & Field Center in New York City.
