Following a top-notch performance, Siena Women's Golf's Sara Riso was named the MAAC Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
 
Riso took home her second weekly and third total conference honor after earning individual medalist honors at the Sacred Heart Spring Invitational April 6-7 in Milford, CT. The Hamburg, NY native earned medalist honors for the second time this season and the third time in her career after shooting rounds of +2, 74 and even, 72 to finish +2, 146 at the 36-hole event. The mark contributed to the Saints finishing second as a team, good for their second top-3 and fifth top-10 team finish of the 2018-19 campaign.
 
The MAAC Golfer of the Month for September 2018, Riso's top finish moved her into a tie for the third most individual wins in program history, with her two-round result allowing her to hold four of the top-5 lowest 36-hole scored in the Siena record books. An All-MAAC finisher in 2018, Riso also earned MAAC Golfer of the Week on April 11, 2017.
 
Siena takes on Capital Region rival UAlbany in part two of the Crosstown Challenge on Saturday, April 13 before heading to Florida to compete in the 2019 MAAC Championship at the end of the month.
