LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Water Polo Head Coach Tamara Perea has tendered her resignation. Perea is set to return to her native California to accept a position on the coaching staff at Fresno State.
"We wish Tamara well in her new position and return home to California and appreciate the time she spent with our student athletes," said vice president and director of athletics
John D'Argenio.
Perea led the Saints for the past two seasons. This past spring, Perea helped Siena match the program's highest win total since 2012 while playing 11 games vs. nationally ranked opponents. She aided in the development of the program's first-ever Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-American Honorable Mention in rising senior
Diana Fernandez, and the Saints earned ACWPC All-Academic Honors in each of her seasons at the helm.
A national search for Perea's replacement is underway.
