"Meghan has the ability to contribute in so many ways due to her athleticism and setting skills," said Ozols. "She is an outstanding student and athlete and she plays with enthusiasm, intensity and determination. There is so much to like about Meghan as an athlete and student and we are very excited for Meghan's future as a Siena Saint."
Â
Mayer, also a 5-8 setter, matriculates to Loudonville from Franklin, Tennessee. A First Team All-District and All-Tournament player, Mayer also starred in basketball and soccer. Mayer has ties to New York, as she was born in Buffalo, and sister Grace currently plays volleyball at Clarkson University in Potsdam. Mayer also was a star in the classroom, being a member of multiple National Honors Society and school Honor Roll.
Â
"Anna is a special athlete who oozes confidence in her style of play and is wonderfully suited to the setting role and to running the team's offense," added Ozols. "She excels in her setting and decision-making and also will contribute with her defensive intensity and her leadership skills."
Â
Hailing from Riga, Latvia, Stjade is a 5-10 outside hitter. She was a team captain of her club team, Minusas Volleyball School from 2015-17, and won multiple MVP awards of club tournaments. Stjade not only hit the volleyball court, but was also made her mark on the beach volleyball court for two years, winning MVP's of multiple beach tournaments as well.
Â
"Greta is both an elite athlete and an elite student and she will make her presence felt here at Siena the moment she steps on campus," said Ozols. "She has excelled in international competition and the awards and accolades she has garnered speak to the impact we know she will have here at Siena."
Â
The group of three will join the Saints
