HAMPDEN, MA – Siena Men's Golf ended the UConn Invitational at GREATHORSE in Hampden, Massachusetts by continuing its historic start to the 2021-22 season, carding its seventh consecutive team round under 300 to begin the year. The Saints followed rounds of 299 and 296 with a 296 in the final 18-holes of play to finish at an impressive 891 over the 54-hole event and place fifth out of 16 teams.
Rhode Island (+11, 875) took home the team title to edge out host UConn by two strokes, while the Huskies' Caleb Manuel (-11, 205) won individual medalist honors. The Saints finished two strokes behind MAAC foe Iona (+25, 889), while conference counterpart Rider took 14
th place.

Brody Yates put forth his second consecutive top-10 individual finish, shooting even, 72 in the final round to finish +1, 217 in a three-way tie for ninth. Junior
Matthew Ferrari shot +3, 75 on the final day on the par-72, 7,093-yard course to land in a tie for 20
th, while classmate
Nolan Crowley carded five birdies en-route to shooting +1, 73 and finishing in a split for 24

Following the conclusion of their third event of the Fall 2021 season, Siena has gone under 300 as a team in seven consecutive rounds to begin the year, setting team records for the most rounds under 300 in a row and to start a campaign. The team's 54-hole output at GREATHORSE marked the first time since September 15-16, 2018 at the Cornell Invitational that the team has gone under 300 in all three rounds of a 54-hole competition
The Saints return home to host an event for the first time since October 2018 when The Murray Cup returns to Schuyler Meadows Golf Course in Loudonville on Friday, October 8 at 8:30 AM.
