LOUDONVILLE, NY – The 2021-22 Siena Men's Basketball 29-game regular season schedule is now complete following the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference release of the Saints' 20-game league slate. All 10 of Siena's MAAC home games will be played on the fan and family-friendly days of Friday or Sunday, with an even 5-5 split.
 
Siena previously released the team's nine-game non-conference schedule last month. The Saints are set to tip-off their 2021-22 season with the annual Br. Ed Coughlin Franciscan Cup at sister school St. Bonaventure on Tuesday, Nov. 9, before returning to the Capital Region to host Delaware in the home-opener on Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Times Union Center.
 
The 2021-22 MAAC schedule once again features a 20-game league slate with an even split of 10 home and 10 away games, with the Saints set to face each conference foe twice during regular season action. However, for the first time in five years dating back to the 2016-17 season, MAAC action commences with a pair of contests the first weekend of December.
 
Two-time reigning MAAC Regular Season Champion Siena begins its title defense when the Saints open their 33^rd season of conference competition when they host Manhattan on Friday, Dec. 3 at the Times Union Center. Siena closes out its opening weekend of MAAC play on Sunday, Dec. 5 at Saint Peter's.
 
The opening weekend of conference contests falls in the middle of the Saints' nine-game non-conference schedule, with the league lid-lifter vs. the Jaspers marking Siena's only home game during a grueling seven-game stretch. Following the conclusion of non-conference action Dec. 28 at American, the Saints resume MAAC action for good, and close out the 2021 calendar year, with a New Year's Eve showdown at defending tournament champion Iona on Friday, Dec. 31 in New Rochelle.
 
Overall, five of Siena's first eight MAAC contests will be on the road, as the Saints will play nine games during a 12-game stretch away from home between Nov. 28 – Jan. 21. Siena however rings in the New Year in Albany, with a Sunday, Jan. 2 matchup vs. Canisius at the Times Union Center.
 
The schedule evens out in the Saints favor with six games at the Times Union Center during an eight-game span Jan. 28 – Feb. 20. The stretch begins with a season-long three-game homestand vs. Niagara (Jan. 28), Quinnipiac (Jan. 30), and Rider (Feb. 4). Siena will host the defending MAAC Tournament Champion Gaels at the Times Union Center on Friday, Feb. 11, and close out their home slate vs. Monmouth, whom the Saints shared last year's regular season title with, for Senior Day on Sunday, Feb. 27.
 
Regular season action wraps up with the annual Western New York road trip to Niagara (Mar. 3) and Canisius (Mar. 5), leading into the 2022 MAAC Basketball Championships Mar. 8-12 at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
