Saints Set for MAAC Doubleheader at Siena Swim Center

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Water Polo (3-14, 0-3) is set to return home for the second consecutive Sunday to host action at the Siena Swim Center. The Saints will take the pool against MAAC rival La Salle (16-8, 3-2) at 10:30 AM, while welcoming in conference foe Villanova (14-10, 3-2) at 4 PM.

Live video of Sunday's matches will be available on Siena All-Access, while live stats will be available on The FOSH. Additionally, live updates from all the action will be available by following @SienaWaterPolo on Twitter. Click the corresponding links above for more information.

Siena will look to put a ten-game losing skid to rest after dropping a pair of conference matches on Saturday. The Saints dropped a 13-8 decision at Iona before #15 Wagner handed them a definitive 18-2 loss on Staten Island. Sunday's action marks the beginning of a four-game home stand for the Green and Gold, with two more home matches on tap for Saturday, April 2.

Offensively, the Saints are led by senior co-captains Bianca Prinsloo and Georgia Vargas, who have each tallied over 40 goals on the season. Junior Anna Mossakowski and sophomore Caroline Behr have split time in-between-the-pipes, with Mossakowski making 11 saves against the Gaels and Behr putting forth eight against the Seahawks on Saturday.

Both La Salle and Villanova enter Sunday's competition having split doubleheaders on Saturday. The Explorers fell in a 20-18 heartbreaker at LIU before taking an 11-7 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn. The Wildcats fell, 16-11 to LIU, while defeating St. Francis Brooklyn, 16-15.

The Saints hold a 5-3 advantage in the all-time series against La Salle, but have dropped the previous three matches. Villanova holds a 20-18 advantage all-time against Siena, having won four of the last five meetings. La Salle will face Siena at the Siena Swim Center for the first time ever, while Villanova will make its first trip to Loudonville since 2018.
