Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CLAREMONT, CA – Siena Water Polo (3-8) began the weekend at the prestigious Claremont Convergence tournament in California with a pair of losses to Golden State foes. The Saints dropped a tight, 12-10 decision to host Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, before taking a 19-7 loss to Azusa Pacific.
 
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 12, Siena 10
 
The Saints faced off with Claremont-Mudd Scripps for the first time since 2014 and mounted a late-game comeback after falling behind early. The home team held a 9-4 advantage at the half, but Siena scored the final four goals of the match to come within two before CMS closed out the final 1:22 of the contest with the lead. Senior Bianca Prinsloo tallied seven goals and an assist to lead the team offensively, while junior Anna Mossakowski made one save in-goal.
 
Azusa Pacific 19, Siena 7
 
The Green and Gold continued the first day of its first West Coast trip since 2019 with its first-ever meeting with Azusa Pacific, which jetted out to an 8-2 halftime lead and scored seven of nine goals in the third quarter to pull away. Siena saw multi-goal games from senior Georgia Vargas and junior Grace Boeve, while Mossakowski tallied five saves in-between-the-pipes.
 
Siena will conclude California action on Saturday, March 5, with matches scheduled against Whittier at 12 PM EST (9 AM local time) and against first-time foe Santa Clara at 3:45 PM EST (12:45 AM local time).
