HELLERTOWN, PA – Siena Men's Golf got back into spring action at the Abarta Coca-Cola Invitational hosted by Lafayette in Hellertown, Pennsylvania Sunday. Through one round of 36-hole play, the Saints are eight strokes off the lead in sixth place.
Siena shot +12, 300 as a team, while MAAC rival Iona (+4, 292) leads the 20-team pack at the par-72, 6,655-yard Steel Club. MAAC schools Fairfield (T-7
th), Monmouth (11
th), Niagara (T-15
th), and Canisius (20
th), also participated.
The Saints were led individually by junior
Jack Tobin, who carded +2, 74 to tie for 18
th. Classmates
Matthew Ferrari and
Nolan Crowley shot +3, 75 to end day one in a knot for 27
th place. Freshman
Dan Brooks shot +4, 76 to tie for 40
th, while senior
Brody Yates rounded out the team's five-man competition squad with a round of +5, 77 to tie for 51
st.
Siena will conclude action in the Keystone State on Monday with one final round.
