ENFIELD, NH – A pair of Saints finished day one of the Dartmouth Invitational inside the individual top-ten to allow the Saints to lead the nine-team field after a round of action. Siena shot a team round of +10, 298 to hold a three-stroke lead at the Montcalm Golf Club in Enfield, New Hampshire.
Competing in only his second collegiate tournament, freshman Austin Giroux carded four birdies for a round of even, 72 to finish day one in fifth place on the Par-72, 6,829-yard course. Senior Nolan Crowley followed closely behind by shooting five birdies to finish at +7, 73 in a tie for sixth. Graduate Student Brody Yates went for +4, 76 to tie for 12th, while senior Matthew Ferrari carded +5, 77 to knot for 14th. Senior Jack Tobin rounded out the Saints' five-man competition team with a round of +11, 83 to tie for 44th.
Competing as individuals, junior Alex Kelley and sophomore Nick Lyons each birdied twice to also finish in a split for 44th with +11, 83.
Siena will look to lock up its first team title of the 2022-23 season on Sunday, September 25 beginning at 8:30 AM.
