BOSTON, MA – Siena Indoor Track saw its second school record in as many days fall to wrap weekend action at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday afternoon as the women took the track.
Sophomore Keira Flaherty broke her own school record in the women's 1,000 by running a time of 2:55.22 for the second-fastest time run in the MAAC in the event this season.
Fifth year Olivia Lomascolo came just 18-hundredths of a second from knocking off her record in the 3,000 with a time of 9:27.91, good for the fastest time run in the MAAC this season by nearly 20 seconds.
The Saints got a handful of times that were good for some of the top in school history in the 1,000, mile, 3,000, and 5,000.
Freshman Mattingly O'Rourke clocked the fourth-fastest time in the 1,000 (3:02.93), while junior Jennifer McClintock (3:03.93) for fifth, and freshman Izzy McNamee (3:08.37) went for ninth.
Sophomore Claire Gardner recorded the fourth-fastest time in school history in the mile (5:01.86), while sophomore Julia Caputo (5:14.56) and junior Isabelle Painter (5:16.35) went for 16th, and 17, respectively.
Senior Delia McDade Clay recorded the fourth-fastest time in the 3,000 with a new personal best of 9:49.84, while freshman Stephanie Queiroz went for a time of 10:15.42.
Finally, senior Elaine Atanasova clocked the fifth-fastest indoor time in the 5,000 (17:20.03), while classmate Sophia Vinciguerra went for 11th with a time of 17:46.34.
Siena will continue indoor track season at the Pioneer Invitational in Utica, New York on Saturday, February 4.
