Siena Falls to Bucknell to Begin Princeton Invitational

Saints Dropped Low-Scoring Affair Saturday Evening

Box Score

PRINCETON, NJ – Siena Water Polo took the pool for the first time in three weeks to kick off the Princeton Invitational Saturday evening. The Saints (1-4) dropped a 7-3 decision to Bucknell at the DeNunzio Pool in Princeton, New Jersey.

Facing a program that received votes in the latest CWPA Top-25 Poll, the Green and Gold netted two of the first three goals of the day by way of senior Lily Graham and freshman Stella Chopskie. Bucknell responded with the next four goals of the match and never looked back, with senior Grace Boeve also finding the back of the net for the Saints.

The Bison held a 20-12 shots advantage during the course of the match.

Siena will look to close out weekend competition strong with a pair of matches on Sunday, February 26. The Saints will face Chapman at 9:30 am and host team #13 Princeton at 2:30 PM.
