Box Score 2 PRINCETON, NJ – Siena Water Polo got back in the win column to conclude its second weekend of 2023 non-conference action on Sunday. The Saints (2-5) took a 16-9 win over Chapman before dropping a 14-7 decision to host #13 Princeton at the DeNunzio Pool in Princeton, New Jersey.

Facing off against the Panthers for the first time since 2014, the Saints netted seven of the first eight goals and held a 10-2 advantage at the half. Chapman scored five of seven goals in the third quarter and came within five, but Siena netted four of the last six scores to seal its second victory of the year.
Freshman Parker Thomas led the way amongst ten different Siena goal scorers with four goals, while classmate Stella Chopskie also recorded a hat trick and graduate student Bianca Prinsloo added two more.

The Green and Gold closed out weekend action by matching up with their second nationally ranked opponent of the season and let up the first six goals, all in the opening period. The Saint matched the Tigers with four goals in the second quarter and a pair in the third, but it was not enough to overcome a hot start for the home team.
Chopskie and classmate Samantha Varrie each recorded multi-goal games to lead the way for five different goal scorers.
Siena's next non-league action of the season will take place March 4-5 at the Harvard Invitational in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where it will face Brown, CSUN, Carthage, and Gannon.
