Box Score 2 NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Siena Water Polo began the final weekend of MAAC play by taking 17-11 and 14-9 losses to Iona and Mount St. Mary's at the Hynes Center Pool in New Rochelle, New York on Saturday.
Iona 17, Siena 11
The Saints kept pace with the Gaels and were down by only one goal following the first period and two at the half, but the Gaels gradually began to pull away and the Saints could not tie or take the lead. Iona held a definitive 36-22 shots advantage and won all four sprints.

Bianca Prinsloo led Siena offensively with a hat trick in her return to the pool, while seniors
Grace Boeve and
Lily Graham each recorded multi-goal games. Senior goalkeeper
Anna Mossakowski recorded ten saves in-goal.
Mount St. Mary's 14, Siena 9
The Mount scored the first four goals of the game and held a 7-3 advantage at the half. Siena netted five goals in the period of action, but could not overcome the steady lead that had been built by the Mountaineers.
Boeve went for five goals in the nightcap, while Prinsloo again recorded a multi-goal outing.
Siena will conclude the 2023 season against St. Francis Brooklyn on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 11 AM.
