TROY, NY & PHILADELPHIA, PA – Siena Outdoor Track wrapped the regular season by sending runners to compete at two different meets on Friday, with the team being represented at The Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the second straight day, while select runners also took part in the Capital District Classic in Troy, NY.
After boasting a school record on Thursday evening at The Penn Relays, Siena ran men's and women's distance medley teams at the event on Friday. The men's team of freshman
Tyler Greene, senior
Matthew Laframboise, sophomore
Chris Bertola, and senior
Ryan Famiglietti ran a time of 10:08.12, while the women's group of sophomore
Claire Gardner, freshman
Mattingly O'Rourke, sophomore
Keira Flaherty, and senior
Delia McDade Clay turned in a time of 12:07.69.
The Saints featured runners compete in the 1,500, 800, and 5,000.
The unseeded men's 1,500 featured junior
Patrick Fiorillo (4:07.74), senior
Peter Alden (4:13.35), freshman
PJ Dauer (4:15.29), senior
Christopher Adamski (4:17.48), sophomore
Collin Clinton (4:20.28), and senior
Nathan Poirier (4:41.26), while Fiorillo placing fifth to lead the way. Junior
Ben Guerin (3:54.95) finished fifth in the seeded 1,500, while junior
Tom Ragone (3:56.83) finished seventh.
Freshman
Izzy McNamee (4:57.67) took second in the women's seeded 1,500, while sophomore
Lizzie Brown (5:01.07) placed fourth and sophomore
Christina Peppy (5:03.51) finished seventh. The women's 800 saw freshman
Julianna Tourangeau (2:30.04) place sixth. Sophomore
Miranda Gilbert (19:26.35) and senior
Ashley Moskowitz (20:26.20) finished third and fourth in the women's 5,000, respectively.
With the 2023 regular season now complete, Siena will prepare for the 2023 MAAC Outdoor Track Championships in Emmitsburg, Maryland May 6-7.
