AUBURN, AL – Traveling over 1,000 miles and entering its NCAA Golf Regional as the "little fish in a big pond" obviously did not intimidate Siena Men's Golf. Competing in its fourth NCAA Regional appearance in program history, the Saints once again saved their best golf for last to conclude the NCAA Auburn Regional at the Auburn University Club in Auburn, Alabama on Wednesday.
After beginning the day five strokes behind Southland Conference Champion Augusta – who entered the tournament ranked more then 100 spots ahead of the Saints in the GolfStat team rankings – Siena fired off a stellar team round of +8, 296 to end the week with +62, 926, one stroke ahead of the Jaguars for 12

The performance marked the third time in four regional appearances that Siena has finished ahead of at least one other team, with the squad's round three team output setting a program record for low 18, 36, and 54-hole scores at an NCAA Regional and marking the first time the program has gone under 300 in a round in regional play.
All five Siena participants either matched or improved upon their best previous round during the tournament on the par-72, 7,560-yard course, beginning with senior
