LOUDONVILLE, NY – Due to Saturday's bleak weather outlook, Siena Baseball has altered its season-ending series vs. MAAC foe Quinnipiac at Connors Park. The teams will still open their three-game series as scheduled Thursday at 1 p.m., but will now conclude play with a doubleheader featuring a pair of nine-inning games on Friday beginning at noon.
Â
Due to the change in schedule, Siena will now hold its Senior Day festivities – honoring fifth-years
Vincenzo Castronovo and
Arlo Marynczak, true seniors
Kyle Lev,
Matt Livingston,
Donovan Montgomery, and
Bryce Mordecki, and fourth-year
Vincent DiNicola – prior to first pitch of the first game of Friday's doubleheader at approximately 11:35 a.m. Â
Â
Friday's doubleheader will also serve as the Siena Baseball program's annual Go4TheGoal Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer campaign. The Saints will be looking to raise money and awareness throughout the afternoon for kids with cancer being treated locally. The team will show its support for the cause, in part, by wearing Go4theGoal's gold shoelaces and gear in an effort to promote awareness for pediatric cancer. The funds raised through this campaign will help Go4theGoal continue their mission to make a difference in the lives of children battling cancer by providing financial assistance, granting special wishes, developing unique hospital programs, and funding innovative research. All three games of the Quinnipiac series will still be broadcast on ESPN+. Â
