Alex Jurczynski announced the addition of 11 new Saints who are set to join the team for the upcoming 2026 season. Jurcynski's class includes six freshmen and five transfers ready to help the Green and Gold take the next step towards a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title.
Gio Conte | RHP | Albany, NY | Colonie (UConn)
Colonie High School product
Gio Conte returns home following two years at Connecticut. After a redshirt year in 2024, Conte appeared in two games for the Huskies in 2025, making his collegiate debut at Boston College on April 15. He has impressed in the summer ball circuit as a two-time Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) champion, FCBL All-Star, and FCBL Second Team closing pitcher while playing for the Norwich Sea Unicorns. Additionally, Conte helped lead the Amsterdam Mohawks to the 2023 Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League Championship with a 1.35 ERA over 13.1 innings.
A focal point on Shenendehowa's first Section II Class AAA championship team in program history,
Brad Curtis impressed this past summer on the hill for the Amsterdam Mohawks of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League. Just months after graduating high school, the local product hurled 15.0 innings across eight games while posting a 1-0 mark to the tune of a 2.40 ERA.
Cole Hambly | 1B/RHP | Cranston, RI | Worcester Academy
Cole Hambly joins the Saints as a two-way player out of Worcester Academy, where he was named First Team All-Prep and All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention. He appeared in 12 games this past summer for the Worcester Bravehearts of the Futures Collegiate League, hitting .261 over 23 at-bats with three RBI.

George Handal was named a 2024 Perfect Game Northeast Region Honorable Mention.
Hunterdon Central standout
Ryan Lundari ended his high school career with a 1.89 ERA across 96.1 innings and was a two-time First Team All-Skyland Conference selection. During his final season in 2025, Lundari posted a career-low 1.55 ERA over a career-high 40.2 innings of work, while striking out a career-high 55 batters. He pitched 18.0 innings this past summer for the Auburn Doubledays of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, primarily as a reliever.
Jurczynski lands another local standout in
Scott Lynch, who joins the Green and Gold from nearby Mechanicville High School. During his time there, Lynch was a five-year varsity starter primarily at third base and shortstop. Following a decorated career where he became the program's all-time hits leader, he was named the 2025 New York State Sportswriters Association Class B Player of the Year and to the 2025 First Team All-State, as well as a First Team All-Wasaren League selection from 2022-25. Just as talented on the pitch, Lynch starred for Mechanicville's varsity soccer team as a four-year starter, being named a 2024 NYS Small School All-State Team selection, the Class B Player of the Year, and First Team All-Wasaren League.
Matt Murtagh | RHP | Port Ewen, NY | Saugerties (North Carolina A&T)
Transferring in from North Carolina A&T,
Matt Murtagh returns to the Empire State as a native of Port Ewen, NY. One year before suiting up for the Aggies, Murtagh's 1.74 ERA was the fourth-lowest ERA in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division 2 while playing for Sullivan County. That season he went 7-1 across nine outings, striking out 11.5 batters per nine innings.

Steven Ramirez began his high school journey at Salesian before making his way to P27 Academy for one season. While playing for Wow Factor Northeast 2025 National, Ramirez was named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2024 WWBA Northeast Jupiter Qualifier, the 2024 18U PG WWBA Northeast Pre-Qualifer, and the 2024 PG WWBA Upperclass Fall Nationals. He also earned All-Tournament Team accolades at the 2023 17U PG Mid-Atlantic Elite Championship while playing for Cannes Tri-State.
In his lone season at Fort Lauderdale of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA),
David Siciliano went 4-1 with a 2.79 ERA for his Eagles team that appeared in the NCCAA World Series. Impressively, the Shrewsbury, MA, native nearly posted a 4.0 K/BB ratio – striking out 47 batters to just 12 walks given out on the season. This past summer he pitched for the Worcester Bravehearts of the Futures Collegiate League, owning a 4-1 ledger and 2.51 ERA over 28.2 innings. Once again displaying his command, Siciliano dazzled to a 9.0 K/BB ratio with 36 punch-outs to just four walks.
Matt Thorsen | INF/OF/RHP | Chatham, NY | Chatham (Miami Dade)
After beginning his collegiate career at Northeastern,
Matt Thorsen took his talents to Miami Dade of the National Junior College Athletic Association for the 2025 season. The Chatham High School graduate hit .250 over 76 at-bats, with nearly one-third of his hits going for extra bases. On the mound, Thorsen posted a 3.60 ERA and 9.0 K/9 over 5.0 innings.
Ranked the fifth-best shortstop in the state of Indiana by Perfect Game and the 62nd-best overall player in the state coming out of Avon High School,
Cannon Vandever was a four-year varsity letterwinner. He also helped his Orioles squad to the IHSAA 4A Semi-State Championships before beginning his collegiate career at Evansville.
