LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Swimming & Diving was once again honored for its strong performance by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the 22nd consecutive semester, the organization announced this week. The Saints were given Scholar All-America honors as part of 714 male and female collegiate swim programs.
Under the direction of third year head
Brogan Barr, the Saints held a record team GPA of 3.70 during the Spring 2023 term and have now taken home Scholar All-American honors in every semester since the fall of 2011. In six semesters since Barr took the helm of the program, the team's term GPA has improved each term from a 3.30.
The team's team academic mark – which stood out among all MAAC swimming & diving programs, male or female, gave Siena 3.5 cumulative GPA through the conclusion of the 2022-23 season. Fourteen Siena swimmers held above a 3.5 mark and 22 of 24 Saints went above a 3.0 during the spring semester.Â
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America. The CSCAA is dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
