BOSTON, MA – Siena Indoor Track wrapped weekend action by sending female runners to compete at the John Thomas Terrier Classic at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday.
The Saints ran competitors in the 800, 1,000, mile, 3,000, and 5,000-meter events.
The female runners displayed impressive performances by finishing the mile run in under five minutes, with junior
Claire Gardner running a personal best time of 4:53.24 for the third-fastest time in school history, classmate
Keira Flaherty clocking a 4:57.60 for the fifth-fastest time, and graduate student
Madeleine Hesler running a 4:59.32.
The Saints saw senior
Gabby DeAngelis run a time of 2:18.39 in the 800, while classmate
Jennifer McClintock ran a time of 2:26.80. Sophomore
Mattingly O'Rourke went for a time of 3:06.91 in the 1,000, while classmate
Izzy McNamee ran a time of 3:12.45.
In distance events, the Saints were steadied by junior
Julia Caputo in the 3,000 with a time of 9:59.50, while sophomore
Kate DeForest went for a time of 10:25.87 and freshman
Faith Skowvron finished with a time of 10:30.56. Senior
Katharine Hesler finished with a time of 17:51.23 in the 5,000.
Siena will be right back in Boston to compete at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational February 9-10.
