Siena Men's Golf wrapped-up its trip to the UConn Invitational on Tuesday, finishing the three-day, 54-hole tournament at +75 (939) to finish 13th. The Saints shot 35-over on Tuesday in their final round.
Michael McConie finished his outing tied for 20th at +7 after shooting six-over on Tuesday. The sophomore finished amongst the tournament leaders in total birdies, tied for ninth with 10 over the 54 holes.
Dan Brooks and
Austin Giroux each moved up the leaderboard on the final day - Brooks improving four positions to place tied for 46th (+16), and Giroux six places to tie for 50th (+17). Brooks completed round three at six-over, including a solid +1 showing on the front nine, while Giroux shot +5 on Tuesday, highlighted by a -1 showing on the front nine.
Michael Broeker (+28),
Nick Lyons (+29), and
Connor Kiel (+30) rounded out the Saints in the tournament. Lyons improved two spots after shooting 11-over on Tuesday, while Broeker completed round three at +12, and Kiel at +16.
Siena will hit the course next at the Matthews Auto Collegiate Golf Invitational hosted by Binghamton University. The tournament will take place from Oct. 6-7 at the Links at Hiawatha in Apalachin, NY.
